PRESENTATION

We begin by translating your goals and inspiration into a clear, thoughtful plan. From mood boards and space planning to curated selections for furnishings and finishes, we help you visualize your future space. You’ll have the chance to review, refine, and feel fully aligned before moving forward.

PROCUREMENT &
PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Once the design is approved, we manage all the moving pieces—from ordering products and tracking shipments to coordinating with contractors and trades. We handle timelines, troubleshoot issues, and keep you informed at every step so the process stays seamless and stress-free.

INSTALLATION &
FINAL REVEAL

When everything’s ready, we oversee installation down to the final styling touches. Art is hung, pillows are fluffed, and throws are folded just so. You’ll come home to a fully transformed space, ready to be lived in and loved—every detail intentionally curated to feel like you.

You'll have access to trade-only furnishings and custom-designed pieces you won’t find in retail stores. And if you’d rather not deal with the logistics? We’ll work with subcontractors through the installation process so your project comes together seamlessly.

Don’t live locally? No problem. Our virtual design service offers the same thoughtful approach—delivered entirely online. After getting to know your space, style, and goals, we provide custom design plans with all the tools you need to bring the vision to life. From furniture layouts and material selections to shoppable links and styling tips, it’s a flexible and collaborative option designed around your lifestyle.

FAQs

  • CURATE is a full-service interior design firm managing the process from concept to installation. If you are located outside of New Jersey, there is a virtual consultation option that would be paid by the hour.

  • Yes, we have a free 20-minute discovery call. After this call, we will send you a questionnaire (takes about 30 minutes). Once we receive the questionnaire back, we will set up a time to meet you (and any other decision makers) to view the space and go over the scope of work during the paid consultation. 

    After this meeting, CURATE will draw up the contract and set up a time to review and sign.

  • The timeline for a design project varies based on scope and complexity. For smaller projects or single-room designs, the design may take 4–8 weeks. Larger projects, such as designing an entire home or coordinating extensive renovations, can take several months.

    During the initial consultation, we’ll provide a more precise timeline based on your project. Rest assured, we prioritize quality and clear communication to make the process seamless and enjoyable for you!

  • While every project is unique, CURATE is with you through the entire process.

    We begin by getting to know you and how you live and use your space. From there, we will create floor plans, lighting plans, fabric, lighting, rugs, and material selections and present to you. We keep you up to date on pricing and where we stand within your budget. Once you approve the design, we begin ordering all materials and furniture from our exclusive trade-only partners.

    Every single piece is carefully chosen, curated, for you. We use a mix of retail and fully custom furniture.

    Functionality and quality are of utmost importance.

  • Custom furniture we can select every element including the finish, fabric, and overall size. This ensures the furniture will fit your space and goes with the colors we’ve selected. Rather than choosing from the limited finish, fabric, ad size options of a retail item.
