OUR PHILOSOPHY

Curated with purpose. Designed for real life.

We don’t just design—we distill, refine, and thoughtfully assemble the elements that matter most. Every space begins with intention and is shaped by how you live, so the result feels effortlessly personal and quietly elevated.

THE CURATE APPROACH

At CURATE Interior Designs, every project begins with curiosity—about how you live, what you value, and where design can make daily life feel more seamless, inspired, and complete. Founded by Katelyn Spacek, CURATE brings together a strong foundation in construction and real estate with a refined design sensibility and a practical, down-to-earth process.

While CURATE primarily focuses on residential interiors, Katelyn also brings experience in hospitality design—adding versatility and a layered understanding of how spaces can shape experience. The result is thoughtful, highly individualized interiors that feel considered—not contrived.

Every detail is carefully selected, every decision purposeful—because good design isn’t just assembled. It’s curated.

OWNER & PRINCIPAL DESIGNER

Katelyn Spacek is the founder of CURATE Interior Designs and brings a grounded, multifaceted perspective to every project. With a background that spans construction, real estate, psychology, and interior design, her approach is both creative and deeply practical.

Originally from Virginia, Katelyn spent over a decade in North Carolina before relocating to New Jersey in 2020—bringing with her a touch of Southern style and an appreciation for gracious, livable design. Her passion for interiors began early, tagging along with her father, a residential builder, on weekend site visits. That behind-the-scenes exposure gave her a lasting respect for how homes are made—and the challenges that can arise along the way.

Katelyn studied psychology in college and worked in real estate and event planning before pursuing her passion for interiors. She earned her Interior Design Certificate from Parsons School of Design in New York City and today draws from all her past experience to design spaces that are thoughtful, functional, and reflective of the people who live in them.

She is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and the Interior Design Society (IDS), New Jersey Chapter.
